Ray BETHELL

(Canada)

Emblematic figure of the piloting kite, Ray Bethell is a true living legend. 75 years old, he curbs the records.

In 2003, on the occasion of the International Long Beach Kite Festival in United States, he achieved two more records. He breaks, twice consecutively during this same festival, his own record by flying 3 stacks of Dyna kites composed of 9 kites each one (for a total of 27 kites).

Then, he breaks again this own record, by flying 3 stacks of 11 kites (for a total of 33 kites), and again, composing these same 3 stacks of 13 pieces, so 39 kites at once !

All these kites fly simultaneously. Ray is awarded with the “Peoples Choice Award” for the 12th year in a row.
