Bay Area Sundowners

(U.S.A.)

Bay Area Sundowners constitute one of the most enthralling teams as regards sporting kite. They have formed part of the cervolistic community for more than 15 years. Although none the original members of the team remains, the spirit which leads the team since her beginnings remains present more than ever.

They excel in their discipline. The team is easily recognizable thanks to their superb air ballets including trains of 13 kites. Each one of these trains is decorated very long coloured drags. Their multicoloured kites weave complex figures in the sky while they are driven on the ground in order to maintain their lines fluid.

Their routines carefully are worked and chorégraphiées on musics very moving.

In 1996, Bay Area Sundowners decide to give up the competition and are devoted to the public demonstrations. The composition of their routines then is adjusted and developed in this direction. This change is crowned success. The team occurs now in front of great assistances, often in front of more than 750.000 people each year.

Bay Area Sundowners appear now on the kite festivals and other kite events everywhere in the world. They envisage to continue thus, bringing their "magic" to the public.
